Kidsville Director Transition
Dear VCC family,
It is with mixed emotions that I share with you the resignation of our friend Ashley Meyer as our Kidsville (K-5th) Director. Ashley has served faithfully and effectively in this position since last August. Her, her husband Pete, and their girls are a treasured part of the Village Community Church family, and we wish them all God's very best.
Ashley submitted her resignation to me last Tuesday after much prayer and consideration. It's important for all of us to know that Ashley is not stepping down on bad terms at all. Ashley deeply loves the VCC family and the ministry of Kidsville, and we deeply value her leadership among us. However, the Meyers feel that handing over the reigns of Kidsville to a new leader is the best decision for their family at this time. Ashley has the full support of myself, our ministry staff, and our church board in this decision.
Ashley's final Sunday as our Kidsville Director will be Sunday, October 29th. It gives me great joy to know that the Meyers are not leaving VCC altogether. VCC is still their home church, and they will still be worshipping with us! More information on the transition to new Kidsville leadership will be available as we have it.
In the meantime, let's commit to pray for Ashley and Pete and their family, and for Children's ministry here at VCC. I'm convinced that our best days are ahead of us! I've sensed a special thing happening this past month at our church on Sundays. Let's keep riding the wave of God's grace!
Your friend,
Ryan
